A newly restored residence of Edgar Allan Poe has received a major award for preservation. Poe lived in this cottage in the Bronx from 1846 to 1849; the Web site of the Bronx Historical Society also features a film about Poe's life in the Bronx. (Hat tip to the New York History blog)
