The Neglected Books blog features "Cracked Record Blues" by Kenneth Fearing—probably better known during his lifetime for his poetry, but he's also the author of The Big Clock (film w/Ray Milland, 1948; remade as Police Python 357, 1976, and No Way Out, 1987).

I really dislike NO WAY OUT, like THE BIG CLOCK a lot, and hadn't heard of the British film previously...cool.
Or, clearly, the French film!
I've never heard of Police Python 357 either and hadn't a clue about the Fearing connection. I'm surprised the trailer completely overlooks the two biggest French stars in the movie: Yves Montand and Simone Signoret, seen in bed in her nightgown.
