For today's 159th birthday of author Sir Henry Rider Haggard (King Solomon's Mines, She, etc.), you can watch 1923 footage of him working in his elegant Norfolk study, walking in his garden, and patting his dog.

Thanks for the post and the clip of Haggard. There is an interesting collection of letters he exchanged with Kipling called, Rudyard Kipling to Rider Haggard; the record of a friendship.

It is a cute conceit, an "interview" with no text, so to write. Jerry House highlighted this one recently, too.

Well, Todd, it is the era of silent film. But why call it an "interview"? Why not a "visit," right? Thanks to Elgin Bleecker for the heads-up on Kipling-Haggard book.
