| Edgar Allan Poe by William Oberhardt. n.d. Billy Rose Theatre Div., NYPL. |
Running through April 9, 2027, is the exhibition "Edgar Allan Poe at UVA: 1826–2026" at UVA's Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library. It discusses Poe's short time as a UVA student (he studied Latin, Greek, Spanish, French, and Italian; racked up some library fines; gambled; and drank) and the tantalizing question: did he cross paths with the 82-year-old Thomas Jefferson?
