Through July 5 Princeton University's Firestone Library is displaying more than 100 portraits of writers and poets; the few featured online include George Bernard Shaw, Robert Louis Stevenson, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and others.

Hawthorne meets the blow dryer.

The Harvard University Press blog discusses its new covers for works by Nathaniel Hawthorne that feature various renderings of the author, but they tend to appear as if Hawthorne has discovered the blow dryer (see sample at left).
