"A Study in Scarlet" Nets More Than $30,000.

After a UK-US bidding war, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's
"A Study in Scarlet" from
Beeton's Christmas Annual (1887) went for 15,500 pounds at an auction of Oxfam books today. More
