Celebrating 50 years of The Birds.
On March 30, the History Show of RTE (Ireland) marked the 50th anniversary of the premiere of Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds. Below, The Birds' screenwriter, Evan Hunter, talks about the original ending of the film.
Valancourt Books plans an edition of Frank Baker's _The Birds_ (1936), posited to have inspired du Maurier's novella (she was working at Baker's publisher at the time--the publisher was a cousin).
